The 2010 LCA Spring Conference and Induction of Fellows was held May 5-7, 2010 in Monterey, California. The beautiful Pacific setting played host to more than two hundred Fellows and guests, beginning with Wednesday evening’s welcome reception on the upper outdoor terrace at the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa followed by two days of advanced seminar presentations, networking events, and biannual dinner and induction ceremony for new society Fellows.

On November 12, 2009, the LCA, along with exclusive sponsor Womble Carlyle, held the first annual Diversity Summit at the Atlanta Four Seasons. Over the course of the one-day conference which was subtitiled "Beyond Candor," eight speakers in a stimulating and insightful group dialogue took turns exploring the various struggles and stereotypes throughout history respecting issues of race, national origin, religion, disability, gender and/or sexual orientation. Attendees openly participated with salient questions and commentary as each speaker presented on experiences, opinions, and advice on the discipline of diversity and how best to approach it aggressively in the legal profession today.

On October 28-30, 2009, the LCA held its Fall Conference and Induction of Fellows in Charleston, South Carolina. With 16 speakers over two days presenting on a wide variety of topics tailored to the society's seasoned litigators, and with social gatherings preceding and highlighting the conference, the more than two hundred Fellows and guests attending served to create an atmosphere of camaraderie and recognition of excellence during the LCA's visit to the Holy City.
