2009 Fall Conference and Induction of Fellows
Charleston, South Carolina
Charleston, a city rich in history, tradition and Southern culture will be the host for the LCA 2009 Fall Conference and Induction of Fellows. The city is known as one of the most romantic and exciting cities in the world and offers a host of activities to suit every desire. You will find beaches and water activity, great shops, fine dining, historic home tours, spa treatments, golf and more. Take a horse drawn carriage for a tour of Charleston’s narrow streets lined with beautifully preserved buildings from the colonial and antebellum periods. For the eighth consecutive year Charleston has been named one of the “Top Ten” destinations in the United States by the well-traveled readers of Conde Nast Traveler.
A sub-tropical climate allows for year-round outdoor activities. From the front door of the Charleston Place hotel and spa, you can enjoy leisurely strolls or inspiring jogging routes through some of the most beautifully preserved antebellum architecture on the continent, or opt to take a short drive to the plantations to enjoy the flora and wildlife.
The LCA 2009 Fall Conference is designed for Fellows of the LCA to enhance their trial skills, to provide practical issues and topics challenging litigators in today’s changing legal environment, and to afford each individual the opportunity to hear and interact with some of America’s finest trial and appellate lawyers.
Participants will be provided with many of the necessary tools for continued success and expertise in trials, negotiations, case evaluations and alternative dispute resolutions. New Fellows of the LCA will be formally inducted into the trial lawyer honorary society at a special ceremony. The conference will give Fellows the opportunity to network with other distinguished attorneys from across North America, earn CLE credit, and enjoy the history and charm of Charleston.
