2010 LCA Spring Conference and Induction of Fellows, Monterey, California

Monterey, a spectacular coastal community in northern California with a temperate climate year-round, natural beauty, cultural resources and a rich historic past, will be the site for the 2010 LCA Spring Conference and Induction of Fellows.

Monterey offers unparalleled beauty and features a dazzling waterfront along the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, a lush urban forest, a rich array of historic and cultural resources, museums, gardens, and recreational activities. Monterey is the home of the world-class Monterey Bay Aquarium, located on the street immortalized in John Steinbeck's novel Cannery Row and only a short walk from the conference venue.

The 2010 LCA Spring Conference is designed for Fellows of the LCA to enhance their trial skills, to address practical issues and topics challenging litigators in today’s changing legal environment, and to afford each individual the opportunity to interact with some of America’s finest trial and appellate lawyers.

Participants will be provided with many of the necessary tools for continued success and expertise in trials, negotiations, case evaluations and alternative dispute resolutions. New Fellows of the LCA will be formally inducted into the trial lawyer honorary society at a dinner and ceremony on Thursday evening, May 6, 2010. The conference will give Fellows the opportunity to network with other distinguished attorneys from across North America, earn CLE credit, and enjoy the history, beauty, and charm of Monterey.

Conference registration and hotel accommodations should be made at your earliest convenience. Rooms and rates, including the weekend, are available on a first-come, first served basis. The LCA has secured a special group rate with the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa. You must make reservations by April 5, 2010 to be eligible for the special group rate. As a convenience, there is a $25 resort fee added to each room account daily to provide 24 hour valet parking with in and out privileges, high speed wireless internet, full use of the spa’s fitness center and whirlpool tubs, unlimited local calls, and a newspaper delivered to each room daily.
