The LCA cares about its employees and the preservation of the environment. Our goal is a safer, cleaner, healthier and more pleasant and productive workplace, home and world. We seek to lead by example to demonstrate responsible corporate citizenship. We also seek to be environmentally conscious by adapting and implementing “green” concepts across all facets of our operations and organizational services. Our program includes recycling paper, toner cartridges, aluminum cans, cardboards, plastics and cell phones. Where possible, we communicate with our Fellows by electronic means. Thanks to input by LCA Diversity Partner Encore Discovery Solutions, our electronic document management allows paperless transactions to benefit the environment by preventing unnecessary waste, but allows storage of Fellow files electronically, LCA Commentary, LCA Info and LCA Inquiry blasts electronically, electronic access to databases and use of computer-based training materials in preparation for our biannual conferences. Thanks to Encore, we also have been able to consolidate data storage, thereby reducing the number of hard drives needed.

We are constantly searching for ways to improve our development, process and efficiency through the use of technology. Our commitment to green methods and practices is designed to leave future generations with the bountiful beauty Earth has always provided to our Fellows, and contribute to goals common to the public interest in the areas of the environment and conservation.
