2025 Renaissance Symposium XIX

The Renaissance Symposium XIX continues the LCA’s exclusive advanced trial series on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Harvard Club of New York City, where you will have the opportunity of speaking before and learning from your elite peers in a small group setting, followed by cocktails and networking.
There are only 12 speaker slots for this event, which is designed to allow for personal interaction and discussion on all of the presentations, and 16 additional slots for observers/contributors. Observers/contributors will participate in the discussions, but will not present a topic of their own. Registration is first-come, first-served and will sell out, so please register as soon as possible to ensure your place.
The format is twelve speakers, each allocated thirty minutes, speaking on any trial topic desired that will add to the superior trial strategies and tactics of Renaissance attendees. Best of all, you select your own topic with the only requirement being that it has to be something valuable you have divined about courtroom work that is so good you would pass it on to your most trusted friend in the legal community. The Renaissance series has been built around the idea of actual trial tactics and strategies, and less about pre-trial or preparation, so that everyone comes away with a variety of trial presentations, angles, tools and devices.
Renaissance Symposiums are not typical seminar programs where you can speak and leave. RSXIX is a full day of immersion in dialogue and discussion between you and your peers: trial lawyers with years of experience, successes, and verdicts. Fellows come to exchange trial tactics and techniques of the highest order. This type symposium only works if everyone is committed for the entire event. This is not a “drive through” or a “speak, greet, and go” event. Those who speak early should stay until day’s end out of respect for the process and for those who speak later. If your schedule does not allow you to be present the entire day, then perhaps it will for a future Renaissance Symposium.
The Renaissance concept is the brainchild of J. Ric Gass (1943-2019), 2012 President of the Litigation Counsel of America, one of the five founding members of Gass Weber Mullins LLC, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who tried more than 300 cases to verdict.
There are no written materials required and CLE credits are not guaranteed. We will, however, provide you with a Certificate of Attendance which you may submit to your state bar association(s) for possible approval.

REGISTRATION FEES:
There is a $995 registration fee to attend the Symposium (covering breakfast, lunch, the cocktail party, meeting space, and AV for the speaking sessions). The Renaissance Symposium Cocktail Party is open to Symposium attendees and their guests. Guests are welcome to meet us at 4:00 PM at the Harvard Club. The rate for guests is $140 and includes an open bar and wine service, hors d’oeuvres all taxes, fees and gratuities.

*Guests are welcome to attend the Renaissance Symposium Cocktail Party. The fee is $140 per person. The Agenda for the event will be distributed once all of the speakers have submitted their presentation titles.
Business Casual attire is required throughout the Harvard Club for Fellows and their guests for the Symposium and the cocktail party. This includes no jeans. Collared shirts are required for men (jackets and ties are not required) and the equivalent standard for women.
NOT PERMITTED: Gym clothes, t-shirts, sweats, torn clothing, leggings, shorts, and beach attire are not permitted anywhere in the Club, except when a person is going directly to overnight rooms or athletic floors. Hats are not permitted, except for religious purposes and medical reasons.
I understand that the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) has scheduled an in-person educational program. By registering for the program, I acknowledge and agree as follows:
- The program will be photographed by LCA staff. I expressly grant LCA permission to record my voice and/or my image by videotape and/or still photography during the event, and I hereby give permission to LCA to distribute such images or recordings.
- I acknowledge and agree that I am participating in the program voluntarily, and at my own risk, and that I release and waive any claim I might have against LCA and its officers, directors, members, and staff for any and all liability or responsibility for any illness, damages, or injury that I may incur in connection with my attendance at the Program.
