The pandemic has irrevocably changed the manner in which our profession does business. In particular, depositions are now regularly conducted by Zoom or other remote video conference technologies. Although the deposition rules are largely unchanged, taking or defending depositions by video conference raise a host of practical issues that trial lawyers must consider. This brief presentation will highlight some of these issues, and provide some practical suggestions to help attorneys make the most of their Zoom depositions.
