Sharla J. Frost served as the 2011 President of the Litigation Counsel of America.

Prior to founding Sharla J. Frost, Attorney at Law, Ms. Frost served as a partner in Tucker Ellis’s Houston office and was a member of the firm’s Mass Tort & Product Liability Practice Group. She has more than 30 years of experience defending clients in high-risk mass tort, commercial, and product liability cases in state and federal courts across the country. She has served as first-chair trial counsel in more than 40 jury trials. Ms. Frost is admitted to practice in courts in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Mississippi, and West Virginia and in the Supreme Court of the United States. She has been admitted as trial counsel pro hac vice in California, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, and Washington.

Ms. Frost is AV® Preeminent™ Peer-Review Rated, Martindale-Hubbell’s highest peer review recognition for ethical standards and legal ability. She has been recognized as a “Texas Super Lawyer” by Texas Monthly Magazine each year since 2005. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the National Association of Women Lawyers, the Inns of Court, the American Bar Association and the American Board of Trial Advocates. She serves as a member of the Supreme Court Nominee Evaluation Committee of the National Association of Women Lawyers and is an appointed member of the DRI Women In the Courtroom Committee. Ms. Frost also serves as vice-chair of the Liaison Committee between DRI and DRI Europe.

Ms. Frost received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Speech Communication from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1984 and her J.D. from Baylor Law School in 1987.
